Some changes in the rules
- in the photorating section the automatically added ratings changed from 4/4/4 to 3/3/3;
- members may rate photos in the photorating section.

 Nikon has announced the D3x, its latest high-resultion professional DSLR. Sporting an imaging sensor with double the number of photosites of the popular D3, the 24.5 megapixel D3x includes similar features such as a 3.0", 920,000 dot LCD monitor with Live View, 51-point autofocus, EXPEED image processing and HDMI output. To keep up with the demands of stock photography the camera produces 50MB 14-bit RAW files that can be processed to produce 140MB TIFFs. It also supports Nikon’s wireless system and is compatible with Nikon’s new GP-1 GPS unit. |

 Panasonic has announced the launch of the compact FL220 flashgun and will update the DMC-LX3's firmware to accommodate it. Firmware v1.1 not only allows full compatibility with the DMW-FL220 flash unit, it also promises to improve Auto White Balance performance. Firmware v1.1 will be available for download on 15th December, 2008. |

 Adobe has released an update to its Camera Raw Plug-in for Photoshop CS4. Camera Raw 5.2, which replaces v5.1, extends support to seven more cameras, including Canon EOS 5D Mark II and Panasonic DMC-G1. The update includes enhanced color profiles, output sharpening and a new Targeted Adjustment tool. In addition, users can save all image adjustments and settings as a single snapshot for future reference. |

Большой риск вступать в такую дискуссию, и вчера я просто прошла мимо... Но узнав, кто автор... Пожалуйста, не обижайтесь, у Вас такие прекрасные работы... Но эта действительно вызывает моментальное естественное чувство протеста, и, как ни жаль, но я согласна и с Екатериной, и с Иосифом. С другой стороны, я думаю, что Вы не будете обижаться, поскольку всем известно, что Вы отличный фотограф и фотохудожник. И мы сейчас говорим даже не о конкретно Вашей работе, а о том, что является предметом искусства, и ради чего художник создает то или иное произведение. Доверять подсознанию все же вряд ли стоит. Мало ли на какие необдуманные действия оно нас может толкнуть... В произведениях искусства все же всегда присутствует некая авторская интенция... И вопрос зрителя: "А что хотел этим сказать автор?" вполне закономерен... Абстрагируемся от Вашей работы и обратимся только к реалиям жизни. Предположим, мы видим такой вот жест в реальной жизни. Что мы сможем об этом сказать? К сожалению, только то, что это вульгарный жест. Уж извините за прямоту... И для контраста очень хотелось бы обратиться к Вашей изумительной работе - "По следам летнего дождя". Сама поэзия, тонкость, красота и одухотворенность. Мне кажется, это сравнение говорит само за себя. Больше просто нечего добавить...

Определенно в Вашей обработке что-то есть... Что-то мистическое... Лес действительно кажется каким-то колдовским. Очень нравится палитра, красиво размытый дальний план, а на переднем - травинки слева - маленький штрих, но очень выразительный.
