Dubai Shopping Festival Office New initiative to feature Dubai as the premier destination of the region during Eid celebrations

HH_sheikh_Ahmed_Bin_Saeed_AlMaktoum Dubai is set to become the region’s premiere destination for Eid celebrations, this was announced by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Airports, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group and Chairman of the Dubai Shopping Festival Office (DSFO) Supreme Committee at the launch of a new initiative that will further strengthen the city’s position as the leisure, tourism and cultural hub of the Middle East.

“Eid in Dubai is another pillar initiative that will further support our relentless efforts towards achieving the larger aim of positioning Dubai as a year-round premier tourist destination, thus adding another important step in our path to reach the 15 million mark of tourists in Dubai by the year 2015. It is also designed to augment the buoyant and unique atmosphere created in Dubai during celebrations marking Eid-Al-Fitr and Eid-Al-Adha”, HH Said

Fireworks set to light up night sky during ‘Eid in Dubai’

‘Eid in Dubai’, the new initiative organized by Dubai Shopping Festival Office along with National Bonds, will witness a colourful first edition through a spectacular fireworks display that will be held during celebrations to mark Eid-Al-Fitr. Dubai Festival City, a key sponsor of ‘Eid in Dubai’ and a member of the Dubai Shopping Malls Group (DSMG), will host the fireworks display that will last for 25 minutes, starting at 8pm on all three days.
